JUSTUS hit the music scene in 2008 and spent the better part of 2009 and 2010 playing the Toronto circuit. The band quickly moved up the ranks and earned the respect of booking agents with their ability to draw in audiences.
In February of 2010, JUSTUS won 1st prize in a band contest called '4 The Rekord'. In April of that year, they also qualified for TIMA, the Toronto Independent Music Awards for “Best Live Act”.
In October, the band got the attention of fashion designers Magpie Design and was asked to be a feature artist during Nuit Blanche, Toronto’s festival of lights.
JUSTUS entered Mushroom Studios in the summer of 2011 with producer Joel Kazmi (Sum 41) to record their Debut EP. The band released 'Back In', the first single from the EP April 12, 2012.
JUSTUS' debut EP, 'Don't Surrender', was released May 4, 2012 and is available on iTunes and HMV retailers.
