As difficult as it is to describe music that one’s created, Clash puts Javeon to the test. “Garage and house and R&B and presenting them in a pop way, that’s what I’m going for,” he says, committedly.\r

The soulful R&B singing, which he’s been motivated to perfect by listening to Craig David and Usher in his childhood, appears effortless. The pop presentation, meanwhile, comes in his lyricism. “I've always been a relationship person,” he reveals. Thus, songs about love provide a universal sentiment that’s accessible.\r

The accompanying heavy basslines, which give his music more of an edge than his aforementioned influences, stem from his upbringing as an MC in Bristol’s fertile bass scene.
