Peter Metro was born as Peter Clarke in kingston jamaica. He started out in the music business at an early age after studying in cuba, he was by this time very fluent in the spanish and used this to his advantage by becoming the first spanish speaking DJ.This helped him further in his career as he toured several spanish speaking countries and also incorporated this in his lyrics.His career blossomed on the Metro Media Sound System in the early 80's and in 1982 he was voted best Dance Hall Artist.
