Based on the chilling eyes and manipulative glare of a bartender in Montreal, Cool Eyes goes into some very new and interesting sonic places. Feedbacking analog delays and ping pongy synth work give the songs first half a delightfully sinister groove, but after the breakdown the tune transforms into a melodic, emotionally driven masterpiece. Surely one of Hibernate's most interesting and fulfilling tunes.
