Chris Tyler was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he currently resides. Chris started singing as a toddler in the church nursery. His love formusic is not only to sing, but to play as well. Chris sang with his church choir, the youth orchestra and as a young adult with many local bands.

Chris stepped into country music when he became a Dj at a Jacksonville country dance club. While employed with the dance club, he taught line dances, played the top country music songs and sang with guest bands.

Chris transferred to local radio in 1997 to join Rooster Country 107.3 where he was known as Chris Knight. If Chris is not singing on stage you can catch him on-air now with WAPE 95.1.
