The concept for this album was born in 2006. Unsure of which direction it would take, "Evil cannot touch me" was written in the land of "live free or die" during that summer, and was later recorded at Anchor Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica.

The lyrics for "Run Come" took shape in January 2007. Within a few days, the hook and first verse came alive while the artiste drove to and from his 9 to 5 in New Hampshire’s winter. Soon after, it was recorded in Medford Massachusetts and later the featured artiste completed the track at Anchor Recording Studio in Kingston, Jamaica.

"Love Fire" and "Step Up" were written in June 2008 while Eloquence spent time with his Mother and siblings in Waterford St. Catherine(Jamaica). Both song were recorded during a single studio session. It had been over a year since the artiste had recorded in Jamaica and he was enthused about these two positive songs.
