Livin Proof (AKA Joe Carnes) was born January 6, 1975, in Statesboro, Georgia. Coming from a broken home, he found himself getting in and out of trouble with the law as early as age six. Raising him in Wilmington NC, his father was forced to put him camps for troubled youths by the age of 11. Joe’s stubbornness and unwillingness to fall under an authority kept him constantly running from these places and causing mischief out in the world. Eventually his actions began catching up to him and he was placed in a youth detention center. Joe still would not be contained as his chaos ran rampant throughout the prison walls. Within weeks of getting paroled he would find himself back for another stint inside. Eventually, after ten years behind bars, he was a free man. His freedom, though, was only in the eyes of society.
