We Want Something More
Breaking Aim and the Rhythm started in 2009 when singer/songwriter Josh Razavi (The American Way, Lone Gunmen) started performing solo around the Montgomery area. He was in search of musicians to start a band with. Jason Snellgrove (12thHour, BPM, Flip the Switch) laid down his guitar, picked up the bass and the two started working together to ready enough material to record a demo to help recruit a drummer. Sam Andrews (Lo Fi Loungers) who had played for over 3 years with Jason in 12thHour joined on drums in late December 2009 and the lineup was complete.
On April 18th, Breaking Aim and the Rhythm hit the studio at Atmosphere Recording to lay down their first EP with David Campbell, who co-produced and helped things run smoothly. After working through the afternoon, past dinner (2 pepperoni pizzas!), and late into the night, Breaking Aim left Atmosphere with "We Want Something More", their first 6 song EP.
