DJ Fade grew up in the Southside of Chicago and experienced the life of gangs and the elements of hip-hop mixed together. Listening to Eazy-E, Bone Thugs, Wu-Tang, Nas, and many more Rap crews and artists. His older brother Alonzo gave him two turntables and a mixer as an early Christmas present, introducing him to the beginning of his music career. Starting out as a DJ at 12 years old, DJ Fade was guided from an older friend in the neighborhood known as Dj Make. DJ Make taught him what House Classics were all about. DJ Fade moved out of the neighborhood because of the gang violence. He moved to a small town where everyone knows everyone and Classic Rock is the music to listen to, a world he thought only existed in movies. Bob Bush, a co-worker in a steel factory taught him about Classic Rock and The Blues. The diversity that took place in his life made him unique when it came down to composing music.
