Speechless
Swedish-Ethiopian R&B artist Sebastian Mikael (aka De-Lor) grew up obsessed with songs he heard on the radio, and even wanted to know how they were made. As a fledgling vocalist, he got involved with recording sessions in his native Sweden, but he grew frustrated with his inability to grow and moved to the U.S. to study at Hollywood's Musicians Institute and the Berklee College of Music. A 2011 mixtape, J'Adore, gained the notice of executive Sylvia Rhone, and it led to a contract with the Epic-affiliated Slip N Slide label. The year 2013 was busy for him. He appeared on the Kings Dead's "The Reunion," and he officially released the singles "Beautiful Life" (a predominantly acoustic, Babyface-type ballad) and the Al B. Sure!-referencing "Last Night" (featuring a guest verse from Wale).
