Officially formed in 2010, Semitone combines the musical creations of Brian Burke & Aaron Hoel. Growing up playing guitar, piano, violin, viola, & trumpet between them, Brian and Aaron were compelled to expand their capabilities by exploring music in the rock genre. This relationship produces a unique combination of old & new styles, mellow & driving riffs, and classic and grunge influences all wrapped into one dynamic sound.

Both classically trained lifelong multi-instrumentalists, music runs in the veins of this duo. Playing together since 2005, the pair has yet to find the perfect rhythm section to round out the Semitone sound. With the perfect fit difficult to find, Brian & Aaron decided to record and release Stand Up independently. Semitone is currently delivering acoustic performances while in search for the right bassist and percussionist. Performance & musician referrals are welcome and appreciated!
