Loose Canon plays a funky blend of almost-alternative-jam rock. While stemmed in the harmonic intricacy of players like Jeff Beck, Weather Report and Yes, Loose Canon's music grows from its roots in the piano-based-pop tones of artists from Stevie Wonder to Ben Folds. Though penned with deliberation and explicit compositional intent, Loose Canon's music blooms anew each night through the improvisational whims reminiscent of bands like Phish and The Allman Brothers.

The band consists of Marty Cowles on lead vocals and keyboards and Matt Yeakley on guitar backed by Tyler Rogers on drums and percussion, and Steve Theriault on bass.
