Over the years, I have spent many hours enjoying tasty beverages in numerous Tiki Bars. The Tiki Bar experience is really a state of mind which, when attained, can enhance your life or cause you to go off the deep end.
When I arrived in Florida, I was a broken man. I had gone through a bad break-up and decided to make a major change in my life. I shut down my business, sold my house, and bought a 1969, 24ft. Winnebago and headed off into the sunset.
I went out to Alaska, drove it to Nova Scotia (around the Cabot Trail at the northern tip of Cape Bretton). One morning in western Massachusetts, while visiting my old friends and my Godson, I woke up to find the pipes in the Winnebago frozen.
I pointed her south and drove all the way to Cape Coral, Florida, where my dad was living. I figured I'd spend the winter there and decide what to do with the rest of my life. I rented a spot at The Pineland Marina for 6 mo...
