The songwriting partnership of Gavin Marshall & Michael King began 2002, “The Year of the Outback”, when Michael teamed with Gavin to compose songs with an Australian theme (Gavin writing lyrics, Michael composing music). Over the years, this songwriting partnership has expanded, encompassing musical styles including adult contemporary, country/folk and music for children’s choirs. Recently, their focus has been on recording songs in their “home” studio, resulting in the self-produced CDs, “New Horizons” (2005), “Dusty Trails” (2006), “Is This It?” (2007), "Heading In The Right Direction" (2008), "People, Places, Faces, Life" (2009), "The Michael King Collection Volumes 1 & 2" (2009/10) and "Out West" (2011).
