I am a singer/songwriter from Johannesburg, South Africa. My passion has and always will be music.
Since I can remember my life has always involved music.
I was signed up to EMI SA for 5 years, writing, producing and performing. However as with any major label, being told what to write, in what style to record, how to dress etc was soul destroying. Selling out was never on the cards for me, so after 5 years I decided to call it a day.
I am presently not signed to any label, but would much rather do music to satisfy my soul, and sign to an independent label.
I write pop songs. I’ve always been a big believer in melodies. Vocally I have often been compared to Robert Smith of The Cure.
It makes for an interesting combination. Pop songs with an Indie voice, thus when people ask me to describe my music I say "Indie Pop"
