The theme of the song, based on a real life canine hero, carries a "be kind to animals" message and spotlights a potcake dog, AMIGO ("potcake" is the name given to native Bahamian mixed-breed dogs) who was rescued from homelessness and given a life of plenty, becoming a superstar and hero in his native land as the 'potcake rep' determined to make the world a better place for potcakes and us all. "Amigo's Song" recounts his heartwarming rags to riches tale, building to a wild and joyous climax that celebrates this noble breed and the need for us all to participate in worldwide efforts to reduce animal suffering.....
