Nicolai Gedda (Live)
At his first Salzburg lieder recital, the legendary Swedish tenor Nicolai Gedda triumphed in a programme in which he endeared himself to his audience with his fluent command of four vocal idioms and with singing that was radiant throughout every register. Famous for his linguistic versatility and cosmopolitan credentials, he was accompanied by the Festival's resident authority in this field, Erik Werba.
