Let the Metal Do the Talking
Overdrive was formed in 1980 and released their first MLP "Reflexions" in 1981 (a rare and expensive item today). In 1983 the debut, "Metal Attack", was released and immediately placed Overdrive on the Scandinavian map of classic heavy metal bands.
In 1984 the second album "Swords And Axes" saw the light of day. An album that received stunning reviews throughout Europe and the US. The band split in 1985, but reformed in 2003 and are still an active hard rocking unit with another bucnh of albums under their skin. The new line-up featured four of the original members; guitarists Janne Stark and Kjell Jacobsson, drummer Kenta Svensson and bass player Kenth Ericsson, plus new singer Per "PerilOz" Lengstedt (Portrait, Unchained). The band's first release was a 5-track EP, entitled "Resurrected" (the tracks are featured as bonus) and the band was soon picked up by Lion Music who released the comeback album "Let The Metal Do The Talking", where h...
