Devon Remixes
Following the success of the original back in March, we return with Oliver Huntemann and Steve Bug reimagining Oliver Schories’ ‘Devon’.
Both producers have a long and vibrant history in dance music that we barely need reminding of, so it’s safe to say their combined studio know-how has produced some serious dancefloor moments here and across the world.
Up first, fellow Hamburg native, Oliver Huntemann opts for a tougher, progressive groove adding more bite to the kicks and a powerful saw-toothed bass. Analogue energy rules here as the main motifs arrive midway as respite in the break. Dance pioneer, Steve Bug sticks closer to the original with a stripped down melodic feel. Emphasising the nuanced sounds of the original, his organic take is the perfect accompaniment to Olivers’ angry, spiky younger brother.
